The Canopy Camouflagers
Green Tree Python
Discover the deep... and the delightful treetops! Hailing from the lush rainforests of New Guinea and Australia, the Green Tree Python is a true marvel of the jungle canopy. These stunning snakes are "arboreal," which means they spend almost their entire lives high up in the trees, using their long, strong tails to wrap around branches and hold on tight. Thanks to their brilliant green scales, they blend perfectly into the leaves, making them brilliant ambush predators! They love to wait patiently before striking lightning-fast to catch birds, rodents, and other small animals. Step into our tropical area and look closely at the branches—can you spot our coiled-up camouflagers resting in the leaves?
