Meet Our Asian Short-Clawed Otters
Small in size but bursting with energy, Asian short-clawed otters are known for their playful nature, clever problem-solving and strong family bonds.
Our four otters each have their own character, and Otter Kingdom gives them the space, variety and enrichment they need to stay active, healthy and engaged.
From splashing through the river to exploring the rocks, every part of the habitat has been designed to encourage natural behaviours and keep our otters busy.

One of the most exciting features of Otter Kingdom is the incredible viewing experience.
Large viewing windows put you right at the heart of the action, giving you spectacular views as the otters swim, dive, splash and play right in front of you.
It is the perfect place to pause, watch, take photos and capture an unforgettable otter selfie during your visit.
A State-of-the-Art Habitat
Otter Kingdom is more than just a new exhibit. It is a purpose-built home designed around the needs of our otters.
The habitat includes rocky landscapes, flowing water, climbing areas and sheltered spaces, giving the otters plenty of opportunities to explore, play and relax.
Behind the scenes, our otters also have access to their very own indoor Bothy, a cosy, purpose-built space where they can rest, recharge and escape the Scottish weather whenever they choose.
This indoor area also includes dedicated keeper facilities, helping our animal care team provide daily feeding, training and enrichment sessions.
Otter Feeding Experiences

Guests have the chance to take part in exclusive otter feeding experiences, offering a closer look at these fascinating animals while learning more from our expert keepers.
